At Mill Park Leisure, we recognise the increasing importance of ensuring that adolescents engage in regular physical activity, not only in our community but also across Australia.

Tailored exclusively for 12 to 15-year-olds, this introductory program offers teenagers a structured approach to safely learn their way around the gym while fostering positive exercise routines. Our Teen Gym Membership includes:  

  • Entry to our gym floor, between the dedicated hours 
  • Exclusive supervised Teen Gym sessions 
  • Three (3) complimentary one-on-one sessions with our health and wellbeing coaches as part of our comprehensive BEGIN induction program. 
  • Plus, pool access which grants them unlimited entry* to our pools  
  • They will also receive their own access wristband 

*Please note: Teen Gym Memberships exclude warm water/spa/sauna facilities, where a minimum age of 16 years is required for entry to these areas.

Teen Gym Hours

A Teen Gym membership unlocks entry to our gym and Teen Group Fitness Classes, held Monday to Friday. These sessions rotate between circuit/functional training and age-appropriate strength training. Every session is led and overseen by our Trainers, ensuring all exercises are executed safely and accurately.

Restricted Hours:
6:00am – 6:00pm | Monday to Friday
8:00am – 6:00pm | Saturday and Sunday

3:00pm – 6:00pm | Monday to Friday

Become a Teen Gym member for only $12.15 per week. Please ensure you attend with a parent or guardian on your first visit.

Get Started

BEGIN is our complimentary induction program offered to all new members. As a Teen Gym member, you’ll receive three (3) free sessions with one of our gym instructors. During these sessions, you’ll discuss your goals and desired outcomes from your Teen Gym membership, and a customised program will be developed for you. This process includes a one-on-one walkthrough of your program with a trainer, who will explain how to use specific equipment safely and correctly, instilling the confidence you need to begin your fitness journey. 

The initial BEGIN session MUST be conducted with a parent/guardian present to be granted acces to the gym.

Additional BEGIN sessions will serve for progress check-ins, follow-ups, or adjustments to your fitness plan. Our team is always available to provide immediate advice or assistance, whether it’s regarding equipment use or posture alignment.

Personal Training

Just like all our memberships, Teen Gym members also have the option to enrol in personal training. These are dedicated one-on-one sessions that can be arranged at any time outside of our designated Teen Gym Hour. Personal Training sessions can be purchased additionally to a Teen Gym membership to enhance an individual’s exercise goals and outcomes.

Teen Gym FAQs

Parents/guardians are encouraged to drop off and pick up their teenagers for their Teen Gym sessions. This practice fosters independence and boosts confidence as they navigate the facility before and after their session. For safety reasons, we recommend parents drop off and pick up their teenagers from the venue’s entry point.

If you’re a parent/guardian and already a member, why not bring your workout gear along? While your teen is engaged in the gym, you can enjoy a group fitness class, a gym workout, swim laps, or simply unwind in our spa/sauna area.

If you’re not currently a member but are interested in joining Mill Park Leisure, explore our various membership options available.

Parents cannot be present during the Teen Gym session while their teenager is working out with us.

It’s essential for everyone to bring a sweat towel for each visit, whether working out in the gym or attending a group fitness class. Additionally, we encourage bringing a reusable drink bottle, although we do provide drinking fountains on-site and have a kiosk selling drinks. Mats are also available on the gym floor for stretching purposes

Once members turn 16 years of age the membership will be automatically changed to Bronze Gym Only Membership at the same price.

A Teen Gym membership grants exclusive access to a designated Teen Gym on the gym floor, closely overseen by our experienced gym instructors.

Teen Gym classes, reserved solely for Teen Gym members, session activities are carefully supervised to ensure safety and correct use of equipment. Weight-related exercises are limited to age-appropriate weights.

Moreover, all staff members hold valid Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and up-to-date certifications in both First Aid and CPR. Rest assured, your child will always be in a secure environment under our supervision.
